Routine logging is only half the job. LogBookAnaes turns structured case data into clear summaries for ARCP, appraisal and portfolio discussions, with date filters and breakdowns for specialty, supervision, age groups and techniques.
The Royal College of Anaesthetists recommends its Lifelong Learning Platform, but recognises that trainees may use another solution when the logbook is presented in the format expected by ARCP panels. LogBookAnaes is independent of the College and is designed to help you prepare that evidence.

What should an anaesthetic logbook record?
A useful case record normally includes the date, specialty and procedure, patient age band, urgency, ASA category, anaesthetic and airway techniques, supervision and your role. Do not record names, NHS numbers or other directly identifiable patient information.
Can I use an alternative to the RCoA LLP logbook?
Current RCoA guidance recommends the Lifelong Learning Platform but recognises that some trainees prefer another solution. If you use an alternative, the College says it should be presented at ARCP in the same format generated by the LLP logbook summary function. Always check the latest guidance and your local training requirements.
Is LogBookAnaes an official RCoA logbook?
No. LogBookAnaes is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Its reporting is designed to align with published RCoA guidance.
Does the anaesthetic logbook work offline?
Yes. Case logging is offline-first, so you can continue without a reliable hospital signal. Optional signed-in Pro features add cloud backup, recovery and cross-device access when a connection is available.
